Children under 12 years: Take a single dose every 4 to 6 hours. Do not take more than 5 doses in 24 hours. If possible, use weight to determine the dose; otherwise, use age. Do not give your child more than directed (see Liver Warning).

Liver warning Acetaminophen may cause severe or possibly fatal liver damage if your child takes more than the recommended dose in 24 hours or with other drugs containing acetaminophen. Allergy alert Acetaminophen may cause serious skin reactions. Do not use with any other drug containing acetaminophen or if your child is allergic to acetaminophen. If unsure, ask a doctor or pharmacist. Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if your child has liver or kidney disease or takes the blood-thinning drug warfarin. Stop use and ask a doctor if pain lasts for more than 5 days or fever lasts more than 3 days. Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, call a Poison Control Centre or get medical help right away. Quick medical attention is critical even if no symptoms are present.
